At Clifton Hampden Church of England Primary School Foundation Stage we are proud of our caring, creative and happy environment where all individuals are valued equally and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We are a kind, friendly, hard working and generally an amazing class.
The Foundation Stage Class is taught by our lovely teacher, Miss Stabler and supported by our fantastic Teaching Assistants, Mrs Young (Morning Teaching Assistant) and Mrs Hill (Afternoon Teaching Assistant). We also have two little pet guineapigs, Bob and Wilbur who we look after. We are very friendly and invite you to pop in for a chat if you have any queries or concerns - There is time at the end of the day to speak to Miss Stabler or if you would like a longer meeting please speak to Miss Stabler or the office to arrange.
This term we are learning our first sounds in Phonics and reading and writing CVC words. In Maths we are learning our numbers to 10 and 2d shapes. We are busy settling into a school routine and making new friends.
The small class size enable us to provide Phonics and numeracy lessons to a wide range of abilities, ensuring that every child is supported - as well as challenged - in their learning. We promote hard work and perseverance through our Growth Mindset philosophy. The love of learning is instilled through engaging lessons both indoors and outdoors.
Our children are encouraged to embrace our Christian Values through their kindness and empathy towards others. We realise the importance of parents as partners, especially in the early formative years and our open door policy is a positive contribution to pupils’ social and emotional development. We value pupils’ wellbeing as being paramount and our philosophy is that a happy child is one who will learn and reach their true potential.
There will be regular updates/photographs on this page so that you can see what we have been getting up to during the week as well as seeing what is on your child's Learning Journey space in the classroom. There are also useful links to help with your child's learning at home at the bottom of this page, but please also ensure you check your child's book bag daily for new phonic sounds, reading books and games to play.
